Gordon retired in 2016 after spending over 35 years working in the housing sector, including 17 years as the Director of a large Scottish housing association. He brings extensive knowledge of the Scottish housing scene and an in-depth understanding of regulatory and governance requirements. He also has a strong commitment to ensuring that the interests of tenants and other service users are at the heart of decision-making.

Since retiring from full-time work, Gordon has served on the governing bodies of a number of housing associations. He is also an Ordinary Member of the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland (Housing and Property Chamber)
